By Sebastian Sujka

Munich-based social game developer MegaZebra has extended its board of directors by adding Gaute Godager and Jürgen Goeldner.  Goeldner started his career in videogames in the eighties, developing  and was involved in a number of renowned companies since then. “Social gaming reminds me of the early days of gaming. The potential and the opportunities are enormous. MegaZebra became active in this market early on and has proven that it is one of the firms adding innovation to this industry”, says Goeldner.

As one of the founders of Funcom, which went public in 2005, Godager headed up titles like Age of Conan and Anarchy Online and held several management roles at the company.
“European firms have always been on the forefront of gaming as can be seen in examples like Funcom and Rushware, and we are certain this will hold true for social gaming, too.” Henning Kosmack, CEO of MegaZebra, adds.

MegaZebra is poised to add new titles to its portfolio in 2012. With its roots in arcade and casual games within Facebook, two new games are in the pipeline, which will merge social gaming with successful game concepts outside of Facebook.

Apart from Goeldner and Godager, the MegaZebra board consists of Sitar Teli from Doughty Hanson, Matthias Hornberger from Kizoo, and Mark Gazecki of the founders.
