Bee Cave Games Announces Initial Funding and Development of Blackjack Casino

Bee Cave Games today announced their initial funding round and the development of their first game title, Blackjack Casino, now in private Beta on Facebook. Bee Cave Games is a new social and mobile game developer and publisher based in Austin, Texas dedicated to entertaining the world with the best casino games.

Bee Cave Games was founded in late 2012 by industry veterans, Erik Bethke, Nimai Malle, and Jeremy Strauser. The experienced team at Bee Cave Games has a history of success with contributions to some of the industry’s biggest and most played games, including: Mafia Wars and Texas Hold’em Poker from Zynga, Madden NFL Football from Electronic Arts and Diablo from Blizzard Entertainment. Erik Bethke, CEO of Bee Cave Games, expressed his level of excitement about the new company in saying, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and passionate team at Bee Cave Games as we begin to deliver on our vision of entertaining the world with the best casino games of all genres, on all platforms.”

Bee Cave Games announced the closure of an initial seed investment round of over $1.4 M from employees, select private investors and a strategic investment from Glu Mobile Inc. Niccolo de Masi, President and CEO of Glu Mobile said of the investment, “the social casino genre has seen tremendous growth in the past year, and we believe the team at Bee Cave Games is well equipped to succeed in the sector’s expected continued growth in 2013 and beyond.”

Also announced today by Bee Cave Games is their first game title, Blackjack Casino, which is now in private Beta on Facebook, with mobile and tablet versions also being developed. More information regarding
